…..and the festival goes on

Very similar to yesterday, we had some really nice minke and humpback whale encounters. Today the whales were even a bit closer to Húsavík, so it took us only about 40 minutes until we were in the middle of a feeding party with two humpback whales and two minke whales enjoying their breakfast close to the boat.

In the afternoon we saw both species again, but this time it was one minke whale and four humpback whales, not far away from the area where the whales had been on the morning tour.

All in all very successful whale watching! Let’s cross our fingers that the next days will continue like that…….:-).
