Winter is here
Winter is here! A bit early though in our opinion. The Beautiful Creek Mountains have put on their winter suit. The sea is rough and Kári is blowing from the north. Kári is another name for the wind, in icelandic. The Grímsey wave buoy tells a wave-height of 8 meters. There are few people around in Húsavík, a few tourists have called in from Mývatn area, reporting that they can´t make it anywhere today – there is 15 cm snow layer on the roads around Mývatn.
I guess today Iceland surely lives up to it’s name!
Until the wind calms and the waves lower, we will have to wait patiently.
