September has arrived

September has arrived here in Húsavík and the first snow has fallen on the mountains, which look very beautiful these days.

Very strong wind from the north-west prevents us from going out today, but the last couple of days we have had great success: There are still a lot of humpback whales around here in Skjálfandi Bay and we also spotted white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises on many of our tours.

Fingers crossed that the wind will calm down later today and during the night. The weather forecast for tomorrow looks better, so we will hopefully be able to go out again.
