The last trips for “Garðar” this summer
We left the harbour at 10:00 onboard “Garðar” this morning and set the course north-west, towards Flatey island. We were sailing for about 45-60 minutes when we spotted the first spout and we soon realized that there was not only one, but at least 4 or 5 humpback whales around. In the same area we also discovered quite a big number of white-beaked dolphins that came very close to the boat on a few occasions.
Also the afternoon tour was successful and we managed to find both species again: humpback whales (one of them feeding right next to the boat!) and white-beaked dolphins. These two trips were actually the last tours for our biggest boat “Garðar” this season and we were happy to see that both trips were once more a big success.
