Two breaching species and bottlenoses
About 130 exited passengers went out on Garðar this morning, we didn‘t know at that point but we were in for a treat. To begin with we found two Humpback Whales travelling together, they came close and everything was going as according to plane. In a distance we spotted group of White-beaked Dolphins who were jumping really high and travelling in a really tide group together. What beautiful jumps they performed for us and I always wonder how they are able to swim so synchronized. At this point one of the humpbacks that we had seen before decided to start breaching and then to do some flipper slapping. We were bit of a distance away but it was still doing these party tricks when we reached the area and it went on and on. But this is not over! Because on the way home, just five minutes away from the harbor, we saw four Northern Bottlenose Whales close up and that doesn’t happen every day. This trip just got better and better and ended in a fantastic way.
