Four whale species and Lions Mane Jellyfishes
The weather is still warm and nice but the next days it’s expected to change in temperature. The signs of summer ending are more obvious every day. Birdlife is not as abundant and floating in the sea are many Lions Mane Jellyfishes who prefer cold water. Today was interesting as the whales we saw just got bigger and bigger. We started of spotting 2-3 Harbor Porpoises who were obviously in a hurry and soon after we discovered some White Beaked Dolphins. These species rarely get along and their presence may explain the Porpoises behaviour. A little while later a lone Minke Whale appeared and we got a very good look at it. To top of the day a few Humpback Whales were spotted rather far to the west and one of them did some tail slapping and breached twice.
