Dolphins and more Dolphins
Ever since we had the bad weather few days ago the Dolphins have been coming more into the bay than before. And so we found some Dolphins on the 10 o’clock this morning, few Humpback Whales and a lonly Minke Whale. On top of that the weather is just unbelievable. Really relaxed and satisfying tour indeed.
In the 13:30 trip the weather was even better than before. Altough the bay is full of whales we did sail for over an hour before finding the first one, a very calm Humpback. After watching the animal for a while we saw some Dolphins in the distance. And then the came closer to us. And then they were suddenly coming from all directions. Now on my sixth season as a Whale Watching guide I have almost never seen so many Dolphins at one time (I remember maybe one or two trips, probably in 2007 or 2008).
But really the most enjoyable part of today, I must say, was the weather. Sunshine and no wind at all. And same story here by the harbour, witch is just perfect for the annual Town Festival called Mærudagar.
So now I am off to mingle with friends, old and new. I can smell the first beer already.
