Whatching a whale watching a boat

The job of the whale watching guide is probably one of few jobs that you actually are more than eager to work on your days off! At least when the weather is perfect (like today) and the bay filled with whales (like today).
And that’s what I did, and I absolutely loved it! We went out on Náttfari and after watching a few humpbacks we stopped by one curious humpback, that took his time watching our boat. Spy hopping, diving just right under the surface, checing the boat from bottom to the top (almost).. then even checking the passengers! It was just amazing.. a once in a lifetime experience for most of the people on board.

It was a boat full of smiling passengers (and crew!) returing to the harbor, just in time to get ready for our town’s festival ‘Mærudagar’ or Sweet Days!
