Breaching humpback – yet another fantastic whale watching day

I went out for the 10 o´clock trip on Skjálfandi bay in search for whales.

After a short sailing we found a Minke whale. But we didn´t stay with it for a long time, because it was diving a lot. Later we found two Humback whales together, and other two a bit further away.

In the 13:30 trip I went out again, on our boat Garðar. Soon we saw a spout in a distance. But in an other place we saw a big splash, and noticed that there was a jumping Humback whale. So we went there in the hope that it would jump for us. And it did, more than once and more than twice. Soon also schooner Haukur joined us.
