And the whale festival goes on!
The bay was busy this morning. We first met a sleepy Humpback whale which we left resting after having seen him, or her, surface a couple of times. After another 10 minute sail we saw some White-beaked dolphins, around 20 of them, adults and calves together. They were speeding and changing direction quite a bit with birds circling above, a feeding frenzy for all. Further west we encounter some more Humpback whales, calming feeding just below the surface.
After some time with them we turned south-east to encounter a Minke whale and another Humpback whale. After spending some time with them it was time to head back to the harbour. The clouds lifting and some faint sun rays accompany us while we sailed back to Husavik with hot chocolate and cinnamon role in hand, all in all a fantastic tour!
