Friday the 13th
Even though it was a windy and wavy morning, the 10 o’clock trip was fun, nice people onboard, and the whale watching successful!
I went out on our biggest boat Garðar this morning. The weather was clear sky but it had already started to blow up out on the bay. We went straight out towards the spot were our colleges on Náttfari, Northsailing’s second biggest boat, had found around 5 humpback whales feeding in the same area not so far from land!
We were lucky to get one humpback whale several times up close by the side of the boat. The passangers were happy and thought it was quite an experience to see a bit rough sea. It was clear though that the wind wasn’t getting any calmer.
The afternoon tours were later all cancelled due to the wavy condition.
LIke always the Northsailing crews took the chance and ran through some safety drills together instead.
