WHALE PARTY!
Recent days have been excellent in the bay of Skjálfandi. The food conditions are obviously good for both birdlife and whales. And not just any whales, the big BLUES are here!
Blue whales (deu: blauwal), humpback whales (deu: buckelwal), minke whale (deu: zwergwal) and dolphins have been feeding all in the same place, just a one hour sailing from Húsavík harbour.
Lot’s of seabirds are feeding out there as well, like puffins, fulmar, artic turns and kittiwake.
The weather conditions have also been quite nice, good visability and often we’ve had good breece for sailing on our wonderful NS-2 tours – Whales, Puffins and Sails.
