Hurray!
Trip #4… In good spirit on our trustworthy KNÖRRINN we saild out again. The weather still cold, a bit rainy, and very, very Icelandic:-) Passengers dressed well for the weather and were also provided of course with our Overalls and rain-coats. Once again a cold wid in the face we headed out and it took not too long to see our now almost best friends, the Harbor Porpoises again. Then, 15.45 o´clock it finally happened…Captain Hrolfur, Northsailings most veteran Whale-watching Captain spotted a black back on the surface in some distance. We set course and, yep, there he was…the first whale of the Season 2012! A Minke of respectable size, we guessed him at about 8m in length…we stayed for a while with him, trying to follow his many dives…the passengers were much excited and after almost 4 hours we came back into Port with only smiling faces.
