Another incredible day with amazing whales.
Today was another amazing day. I had two trips today and both of them were absolutely fantastic. On the first trip, the first animal we saw was a sei whale and today was the first time I have seen a sei whale in these almost three years I’ve been working as a whale watching guide. We then went to check out a humpback whale that we knew was close by. As we were sailing towards it; it surfaced right in front of the boat really close. So close that for a moment I was afraid we were going to run into it. Thankfully the crash was averted and we got to watch this amazing animal up close. We then headed further out and checked out a blue whale. It was absolutely incredible. The next trip was just as good; we checked out a fin whale and while we were watching that a blue whale right next to the boat. We then went to check on the humpback whale that we had seen before and it was feeding at the surface so we saw it surfacing with it’s mouth full a few times. After that we headed back to the harbour with the passengers but just as we were entering the harbour there was a small problem with the sound system on board so I had to do the final speech without a microphone but the weather was so amazing that it wasn’t to much of a problem.
