5 species in one trip!
Náttfari (lit. one/he who travels at night) was true to his name as he came into harbor around midnight tonight after a magnicifent tour. Five species were spotted in the tour and not all of them of the smaller variety, to say the least. In fact, White-Beaked Dolphin, Minke whale, Humpback, Fin whale and Blue whale made sure that Captain Már Höskuldsson actually had to watch out not too hit any of animals that so surrounded the boat. At the peak of activity, the boat was side by side with 3 species of Rorquals. It was a happy group of whale watchers that returned to the pier that night, truly thankful for the great tour, and it goes to show that the crews of North Sailing’s boats are used to a thing or two when it comes to whale watching.
