Windy but warm
Today was a very windy day, but the wind was from the south, so it was warm, not as when it blows from the north.
I went on the 13.30 trip, with Hrolfur and Halla Marín as crew. When the wind blows so strong is really difficult find the whales, so we spent a long time trying to find something.
We went to the western part of the bay, where you can see the difference between the colors of the water and the old house that is still standing on the mountains. In the area where the waters are mixed, suddenly, a Minke Whale appeared in front of us, close to the boat. The whale was very busy feeding, or maybe looking for food, because it was travelling really really fast and changing the direction every time. The captain managed to follow the whale each time someone saw it surfacing, so everybody was helping each other out to find our Minke Whale.
At least, it came sometimes to the surface close to the boat, letting us appreciate how beautiful these whales are. It was an exciting tour trying to sight the whales.
