The storm has passed.
After having been unable to sail for three days because of bad weather we were of course very happy to be able to go out again. Though the wind had calmed somewhat it seemed still to be in a rather brooding mood. The sea was still a bit rough and the boat rocked a bit. Most of our passengers liked it but…well, not everyone did if you catch my drift!
The sunlight filtered through the clouds and the sea was rough and these are not excellent conditions for spotting whales. In fact, the only species we encountered was the White Beaked Dolphin. About 7-10 of them swam close to the boat but they were very relaxed and this time there was no acrobatic display but you can’t expect the wild animals to behave like you want them to everytime. It’s important to remember that this is the wild north and not some aquarium.
Anyway, it was delightful to be able to sail again and let’s hope the wind will be in a good mood till the end of the season!
