Minkes, dolphins and porpoises
Today we started off in a great fashion, with minke whales practically inside the harbour. We had to work for it but eventually got a good look at them so that everyone caught a good look. Then, for the first time in many weeks, we spotted a group of harbour porpoises that actually showed themselves quite well to us, so everyone saw how small these human sized marine mammals look in comparison to the bigger whales. Also, in my last trip of the day, we caught a great show from the white beaked dolphins right North of Puffin Island. They were very playful and circled the boat a great deal.
To cap off the trips we visited Puffin Island if it was nearby. The island was exceptionally beautiful today; Massive number of puffins in the island, on the sea surface and flying around. Quite a sight to behold!
The weather was not all that great; Drizzle of rain and wind with practically no sun, but that is why we keep the warm overalls at hand.
