Sightings and pictures from the last few days
We’ve been experiencing a rather stiff northern breeze these last days, but the weather has never reached the point where it was too bad to go out, and sometimes it’s even been pretty good despite the wind. It hasn’t hindered us in finding the whales either, and we’ve gotten lucky with plenty of Minke whales and White Beaked dolphins in the last few days. We also noticed a large influx of Herring in the bay some days ago. Here are some pictures from a few days ago taken by guide Christian.

Showing us the white underside, with the mountains in the background.
Three dolphins, one breaching, one about to breach and another one coming up to their side.
We’ve also seen very calm seas and lovely weather. Here’s guide Halla Marín sitting on schooner Haukur with Puffin Island in the background.

Passengers on Knörrinn taking a look at the Herring.
A very good look at a Minke whale, blowholes and mouth visible.
The dorsal fin of the Minke whale, looking almost unreal in the light.
