A beautiful final evening trip.
I was out again today after a few days off. Although it was cloudy it was totally calm which was nice. On my earlier trip we saw a group of dolphins that played around the boat for a while. Then we saw a lot of harbour porpoises that were, amazingly, pretty calm. And then even further we saw at least three minke whales. One of them was often coming up right next to us.
The second tour was the last evening trip this year. And it was just how evening trips are supposed to be, apart from the evening sun that was missing. The water was just like mirror and easy to see whales and birds from far away. We didn't find the dolphins on this tour but a lot of porpoises and then two minke whales. A bonus surprise in the end was a breaching bottlenose whale. Indeed a successful last evening trip!
