2000 whale watching tours for North Sailing

Yesterday captain Hrólfur came into the harbour from his North Sailing whale watching tour number 2000! Hrólfur has been working for North Sailing since the year 2000 but before he had worked for two years at another whale watching company. It's therefore safe to say that there are not a lot of whale watching captains who are more experienced than Hrólfur. In these 2000 trips he has seen numerous whales of different types, he was for example the one who found sperm whales the only time it has happened in the history of North Sailing. His most memorable trip though was when a group of killer whales attacked a minke whale next to his boat last summer.

 

 

On his 2000th trip his experience was really useful because the conditions were not good, rainy and windy, but captain Hrólfur found a minke whale to show his passengers.

Some of North Sailing's staff welcomed Hrólfur at the pier when he arrived from his trip and honored him with a gift. There was not much time to celebrate as he was going straight out on whale watching tour nr. 2001.

 

It's certainly priceless for North Sailing to have a captain like Hrólfur.
