A humpback whale day
There were at least four individual humpback whales in the bay today. I went out twice today and on my earlier trip we saw two side by side, one of which I recognize from the last days, and then we saw the third humpback whale a bit further away. On the same tour a group of white-beaked dolphins were seen and one minke whale briefly.
My second tour was really a super tour. We spotted two humpback whales that were swimming side by side. One of them I had seen on the morning tour but the other I hadn't seen at all, that's why I say that there were at least four individuals in the bay today. But the two we found on this tour were swimming alongside the boat for more than half an hour, never diving for long and most of the time we could watch them swimming under the surface. The huge, white flippers on the humpback whales glow under the surface and if they're close it's easy to see them. And these two were just swimming calmly right next to us and it was very easy to watch them. Brilliant tour:)
