A pair of blue whales tonight
Tonight we had a fantastic tour. Practically as soon as we left the harbour we spotted two blue whale blows in the distance. We quickly caught up with them and were able to follow them for quite some while, at least the good part of an hour! The two of them stayed very close together the entire time, surfacing together and travelling at a comfortable speed. One of them had a tendency to lift the fluke when diving down and then the other one followed quietly, disappearing into the ocean. Combined with the midnight sunlight this was an amazing tour.
The following pictures are taken by me on tonight's trip.
