Still a blue whale show
Like on monday I was expecting that we might not find a blue whale today even though we saw one on all the trips yesterday but I was wrong. Two boats went out this morning, Haukur and Bjössi Sör and firs we saw one minke whale and a small dolphin family. There were two pretty young calves in that group. Really cute. But then we decided to head north, where we were yesterday, to search for blue whales. We were almost out of hope when I said to captain Hreiðar that I thought I saw a boat in the distance but then it disappeared so it must have been a whale or a sinking boat. Therefore we headed a bit further north but never saw it again and when we were about to give up Heimir and Martin on Haukur spotted the blow the blue whale in front of them. So we went there, a bit east of the place we were, and both boats had great luck with the blue whale. On my next tour we headed straight towards the blue whale and had again a great show.
This blue whale was though not the same as yesterday because this one had a really big yellow-brownish spot on the back. I've never seen this colour on a blue whale before. Strange.
