Minke whales
Unfortunately the blue whales didn't stick around for long. Today the minke whales were the main specie again and the humpback whales seem to have left the bay as well. This is how the life in the bay can change from day to day. But we had good luck with the minke whales on both the earlier trips, I counted four in the later trip. One of them was the minke whale that has a small cut in the dorsal fin I mentioned a few days ago in the blog. And like in the last weeks we saw a lot of birds, specially on the 13:30 trip: arctic terns, kittiwakes, fulmars, gannets, arctic skuas, great skuas and a lot of puffins.
