Minke whales in the bay
It was the perfect day for whale watching this morning as the bay was calm and the sun was shining.
We headed south towards Lundey (Puffin Island) and got really lucky!
2 minke whales were practically competing with each other for the attention of the whale watchers, coming up with at the same time again and again but in different directions. And for some time we had one minke whale on each side of the boat.
Then after a while we spotted another minke whale so in total we had a good look at 3 minke whales this morning !
We also went close to Lundey and saw hundreds of Puffins flying around us. We also saw Gannets and a Great Skua along with other common birds such as Fulmars and Artic Terns.
