Scientific project continues
A few weeks ago we reported about the scientific project that Dr. Marianne Rasmussen and Edda Elísabet Magnúsdóttir Phd. student are working on in Skjálfandi bay. Two EAR's (Ecolocical Acoustic Recorder) have been in the bay the last months but Marianne and Edda retrieved both the EAR's last month and are now working on the information that the EAR's contain. It will take them some time to get the results as these are of course recordings from a long period. It is though news in itself that this technology worked as this was the first time it was tried in cold waters but the EAR's were developed in Hawaii.
Marianne and Edda will continue this project and they have now deyploeyd both the EAR's again to keep on recording the wildlife in Skjálfandi bay.
