New record – 6 species in one day!
Since whale watching started in Húsavík in 1995 there have never been seen altogether 6 species of whales in one day but that happened today.
Yesterday the majestic blue whales swam into the bay and minkes, dolphins and humpback whales were also seen then. Today however Killer whales (Orcas) were spotted as well as the harbour porpoise, the smallest of them all.
This is good news for whale watchers traveling to Húsavík and the fact that the weather has been amazing, sunny, calm and warm doesent make it worse.
