Busy beginning
It can truly be said that the beginning of the whale watching season is a busy one for North-Sailing. The company´s employees are however not only busy sailing out to Skjálfandi with enthusiastic visitors to view whales. True that there have been some spectacular sightings of Blue whales, Humpbacks and Minke whales since the beginning of season, but other things have to be done as well.
Schooner Haukur was the last boat to go to the shipyard yesterday for a facelift. By that all of North-Sailing´s boats are ready for the season. Haukur has a special project of its own before it starts sailing on the ever so popular tour Whales, Puffins and Sails. Schooner Haukur will embark on a 3 day exciting adventure sailing leaving on June 1st, 8th and 15th. There are still a few availabilities- please contact info@northsailing.is or tel: +354 464 7272.
Other projects include building a new stairway leading to Café Skuld. The old stairway was a little to narrow since Café Skuld was added to Svartibakki. Café Skuld, new since last summer, has been welcomed by visitors as well as the people of Húsavík, requiring some renovations which are now being taken care of.
