Fantastic Four
The last days… well in fact the last two months have been fantastic. With almost non-stop humpback sightings and great weather apart from few days have made this the best summer start so far for North Sailing.
Today was no exception and tonight, captain Hrolfur and Hilmar Valur ventured out on Bjössi Sör with 50 passengers and were lucky enough to observe 4 species of whales. 10 dolphins, 1 minke whale, 3 humpbacks and a blue whale!
By the time these news were heard from the sea, Schooner Haukur sailed in with about 20 thrilled passengers coming home from “Whales, Puffins & Sails” and captain Einar and Nils the guide described the surreal atmosphere on board when a humpback whale was breaching in a distance trying to get attention but next to the boat was a 30 meter long blue whale.
It is easy to say that the wildlife conditions are first class and so is the weather so we encourage people able to witness this not to let the opportunity pass.
