A group of British journalists visits Húsavík
A group of five British journalists visited Húsavík last Saturday. The trip was organized by the tour operator Discover the World and the Icelandic Tourist Board. The itinerary included some of the famous sites of the North, e.g. Lake Myvatn, Whale Watching, Whale Museum, but also some lesser know attractions e.g. berry picking, wine and snaps making, trout fishing (from a fish farm!), food and wine/snaps tasting and much more.
The weather for whale watching was good that day despite being a bit chilly and the North Sailing crew managed to find a breaching humpback, which then came up 5 times.
The journalists are writing for broad spectrum of newspapers/magazines and websites including BBC Good Food, Norwich Union magazine, Trip magazine, Pink Paper, Time of Your Life, Independent and Somerset Independent, IPC Wedding Magazine and the Culinary Guide (website).
We’ll look out for their articles in the next months and publish an abstract from them on the website.
