First day of summer!
Summer arrived at midnight last night in Iceland. That didn´t come as surprise to any Icelander as the first day of summer is always celebrated on a thursday between 19th and 25th of April every year.
Although it is sometimes hard to see the summer through the occational snowstorms at this time of year, this day is one of Iceland´s national holidays and people share gifts and enjoy fine meals.
However spring and summer arrive much earlier in the sea and whales have already been spotted out on the bay. The North-Sailing boats will soon be ready and we are looking so much forward to sailing with people out to the adventurous Skjálfandi Bay.
